Return of goods and warranty

All furniture purchased in the online store www.avantihome.lv is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty for 24 months.
If during the warranty period you find a manufacturing or transportation defect, send us photos of the defect with a description to [email protected] so that we can quickly resolve the situation.

The warranty periods are also indicated in the warranty sheet, before assembling the goods, make sure that it complies with your order.

Warranty terms:

  • The warranty covers manufacturing defects related to the manufacture and delivery of furniture;
  • The purchased product must be used for its intended purpose in accordance with the operating instructions;
  • The product must be installed in accordance with the installation instructions.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Furniture that was not used for its intended purpose;
  • If the rules for transportation, installation, operation, storage and care of the product were not followed;
  • Light bulbs and transformers;
  • Changes in the color and texture of natural wood and leather are not a manufacturing defect;
  • The dimensions of upholstered furniture may vary +/- 5 cm;
  • The furniture was damaged as a result of an unforeseen (force majeure) situations;
  • The goods are damaged due to the fault of the buyer.

Right of withdrawal and when can it be used?

When concluding a distance contract, i.e. making a purchase in the online store www.avantihome.lv, you can use the right of withdrawal and unilaterally withdraw from the contract within 14 calendar days from the date of receipt of the goods. The right of withdrawal does not apply to legal entities.

The period of validity of the right of withdrawal is calculated as follows: in the case of purchasing goods – from the date of taking possession of the goods by the consumer; in the case of one order of several goods that are delivered separately – from the date of taking possession of the last goods by the consumer; in the case of delivery of goods consisting of several batches or parts – from the date of purchase of the last batch or part of the goods by the consumer.

Remember! During the withdrawal period, you have the right to use the product to the extent necessary to test the product (to the same extent as you could do before purchasing the product in a regular store). You have the right to try the product in question during the withdrawal period to ensure that it meets your needs and wishes. By using the withdrawal right, you are responsible for using the product beyond the intended purpose of testing the product, for using the product during the withdrawal period in a way that is incompatible with the principle of good faith, and for reducing the value, quality and safety of the product.

The online store www.avantihome.lv must send a cancellation form to the e-mail address you provided when selling the product or placing an order, which includes the name and address of the seller and a description of the cancellation right. You are obliged to return the product to the seller within 14 days of sending the cancellation form. When returning the product to the seller, you must provide packaging for transporting the product. If you exercise your right of withdrawal and it is not related to the non-compliance of the relevant product or service with the terms of the contract, you are obliged to cover the costs associated with sending the product back.

If you exercise your right of withdrawal, the online store www.avantihome.lv is obliged to return all payments made by you as soon as possible, but no later than within 14 calendar days from the day you sent your written withdrawal. The online store www.avantihome.lv will only refund to the bank account specified in the withdrawal form. The store www.avantihome.lv may withhold the refund until the product(s) are actually received back or until you provide evidence that the products have been sent back, whichever comes first.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you can return the product by delivering it to the AVANTI store-warehouse in Riga, 3 Adazu Street or by sending the product via transport companies together with the withdrawal form. When returning goods using the services of one of the transport companies, it is necessary to provide the appropriate transport packaging – the original packaging of the goods must be packed in other transport packaging.

Procedure for handling complaints and out-of-court disputes.

Submit a complaint about the availability or quality of the goods electronically by sending it to the e-mail address [email protected], or in writing by sending it to the address Adazu Street 3, Riga, LV-1034. The complaint will be reviewed within 7 working days from the date of receipt of the complaint, with a response to the contact address specified in the complaint.

If the complaint is found to be unfounded and you do not agree with the recognition of the complaint as unfounded, you have the right to use alternative dispute resolution methods provided for by regulatory enactments by submitting a written application to the seller of the goods for out-of-court dispute resolution, which specifies:

  • Name, surname, contact information;
  • Date of filing the application;
  • The essence of the dispute, claims and their justification.

What should be taken into account when concluding a distance contract?

When receiving the goods, please make sure that it matches what you ordered – manufacturer, model, size, color and other important parameters. If you have chosen to receive the goods by courier, to avoid misunderstandings, if you notice obvious damage to the parcel, ask the courier to note it on the delivery form. This will help determine whether the goods were damaged during delivery! If the goods have damaged packaging or look suspicious, you have the right not to accept the goods at the time of delivery. Remember, when sending the goods back, you must make sure that they are packed in such a way that the goods cannot be damaged during transportation. To avoid misunderstandings, we also recommend that you insure the goods when returning them, otherwise you will be liable for damage to the goods.

If the packaging is damaged or looks suspicious, you have the right not to accept the goods at the time of delivery. Remember, when sending the goods back, you must make sure that they are packed in such a way that the goods cannot be damaged during transportation. To avoid misunderstandings, we also recommend that you insure the goods when returning them, otherwise you will be liable for damage to the goods.

When concluding a distance contract, you cannot exercise the right of withdrawal:

  • If you have purchased an audio or video recording or a computer program and opened its packaging;
  • If you are concluding a contract related to gambling or lottery services;
  • If you have received perishable or expired goods;
  • If the goods are manufactured according to your instructions or the goods are clearly personalized;
  • For goods that will be manufactured in accordance with special and personal instructions and choices of the buyer, which will be indicated when ordering the goods, the Consumer Protection Law of the Republic of Latvia (PTAL) and the governing regulations of the Republic of Latvia apply. Cabinet of Ministers No. 255 “Regulations on Distance Contracts”, the right of withdrawal does not apply and quality items are not accepted for return.
